More Than Blue: The Series tells the story of star-crossed lovers, Chang Che-Kai and Sung Yuan-Yuan in their student days and is a follow-on from the story of the 2018 box-office-breaking Taiwanese film of the same name. The 2018 film was an adaptation of a 2009 Korean romantic movie.
