Trivia

The Show

• The headshot of Kano that Sonya finds has him with hair, even though he appears immediately after the explosion without. This is curious since this takes place just before the events of the first movie where he has hair, as is depicted in the flashback.

• The episode also does another retcon as Kano was killed in his fight with Sonya in the first film, but is shown to have lived.

Allusions and References

• Kano's appearance is based on how he was designed in Mortal Kombat 3, albeit with a goatee.

Goofs

• When Striker is communicating to Nightwolf in Australia, we see Sub-Zero drop down in the background and his hand briefly holds on to Striker's shoulder.

• When Kano and Sonya meet, Kano is clearly supposed to be further in the background with Sonya in the foreground, but the animation has him overlapped her legs.
