Trivia
The Show
- The flashes back to Liu Kang's defeat of Sub Zero, but with a retconning. In the film, Kitana tells Liu to "use the element which brings life" where as the show uses the word "component". Additionally, in the film, the water Liu threw created an icicle that impaled and froze Sub-Zero, but obviously due to being a cartoon, the show changes it to having the water cover and freeze Sub-Zero.
- Sub-Zero says Scorpion is on his way from Outworld, but in the games Scorpion is from Netherrealm.

Goofs
- When Nightwolf first talks to Liu Kang, he mentions that the satellite is picking him up, but Liu is looking directly into something on ground level.
- When Rayden confronts Sub-Zero, there's an inexplicable white streak that runs down the back of Sub-Zero's neck and down to what should be his exposed torso.
- At the end, everyone standing in front of Sub-Zero are moving their mouths, but no one is heard speaking.
