Plot Overview
The victim is a college student from Britain and the son of a prominent British politician. The killer is another college student and a rising fashion designer. The body is found near a beach some distance away from the college. He'd been at a wild party earlier that night, and while the body shows signs of a possible drug overdose, Betty can't help but notice the bruises on his face and also that he'd been tied up. The possibility that a terrorist group that the young man's mother was fighting may be involved brings Interpol into the case, in the presence of Scottish agent Jack Stoker, who charms everyone he meets, especially Angie. Stoker assists with the investigation, and he and the detectives discover that the victim had a girlfriend, a computer whiz who was tutoring him, much to the disgust of her sister, who happens to be the killer. Eventually, they discover that the young man may be involved with the terrorist group his mother was opposing, and also that the terrorists may be planning a deadly act which the detectives must prevent. The key to solving the case lies in finding the missing girlfriend of the victim. With regards to Betty's situation, Oscar finds himself under pressure from Chief Wells, and he also deals with Lucas, whose finding of a witness in the case could prove problematic in terms of the witness's credibility.
