Plot Overview
The victim is a famous mystery writer. The killer is a creative writing professor who teases anyone who is a fan of the writer. Best-selling author Lori Oliver collapses and dies at a book signing. At first sight, it appears to be a heart attack, but Betty's autopsy shows that she was poisoned with a compound that is so rarely used that it has to be specially made. Angie and Oscar discover that Lori was having an affair with her agent, and they discover from looking at his fingernails that he too has been poisoned...so how could they have made contact with the killer toxin? Meanwhile, the professor who committed the diabolical crime finds himself dogged by one of his students, who, like the professor, was present at the book signing at the time of her death, and the intuitive student is starting to put two and two together. A motive is discovered when they find a manuscript that the professor had written. Also, an intuitive Oscar reaches out to Lucas, whose wife has left him, and Oscar arranges for a surprise meeting between Angie and her son, Manny, and Angie tells Manny about having to testify in Mark's upcoming trial.
