Plot Overview
The victim is a roller derby star. The killer is a psychiatrist. Oddly enough, the murderous shrink had visited the homicide division a couple of days prior to the killing, to tip them off about a patient of his who may have a deadly obsession with blondes, and the victim just happens to be one. He also apparently told the doctor what he wanted to do them--stab them six times in the throat, which is what killed the woman. Angie and the team catch up with the disturbed patient, who happens to be an obsessed fan of the victim whom she rejected for a date, and Angie initially suspects that he may be the killer, until they're reminded of a similar case in which a blonde woman was stabbed six times in the throat and had a string of pearls shoved down her throat afterward, just like the current victim. Paula worked that case and is certain that the woman in prison for that murder, the victim's roommate, was indeed the killer. Angie is steadfast in her belief that a serial killer may be at work, but that theory goes out the window when they learn of a connection between the psychiatrist and the imprisoned woman.
