Plot Overview
The victim is a guy with a long criminal past who did time for armed robbery and is now a minor drug dealer. The killer is a ballet instructor. When Angie and Oscar arrive at the murder scene, it appears to be a case of self-defense: the victim apparently broke into the killer's house, demanded money and chased her into the basement where she blew him away with her husband's hunting rifle. The victim had a gun in his hand, but oddly never fired it. The husband is willing to stand by his wife, even claiming to have fired a shot into the ceiling to scare the victim, but Betty points out that the trajectory of the fatal bullets don't match the wife's story. When the dogged detectives discover that the dead man knew the couple's son, they're on their way to discovering the motive. Also, Oscar notices Angie's odd behavior around Cross, and Betty offers a sympathetic ear to Angie with regards to that situation.
