Joshua "Josh" Redgrove is the protagonist of the Nickelodeon television series, Mr. Meaty.

He is voiced by co-creator Jamie Shannon.

Biography and Personality

Josh is Parker Dinkleman's lanky best friend and the cashier at Mr. Meaty.

Josh enjoys dating girls, indie-punk, and acting cool. His dream is to become a filmmaker/rockstar, and with Parker's help, he just might make it.

Josh goes as far as to defend his friend against people who are being mean to him.

In many episodes, it shows that Josh severly dislikes his job.

Josh has blonde hair in an emo haircut, and does his best to keep it out of the grease at work.

Although he once said, "Parker isn't exactly the coolest dude in the universe." and frequently seems tired of Parker's "nerdier" tendencies, Josh does seem to have a sincere affection for Parker.

Most girls Josh talks to don't like him. Some girls he talks to (like Goth Girl) like him at first, but sooner or later, they always ditch him, leaving Josh alone and pining once again.

Josh gets picked on by his older brother, Ken Redgrove, Ken's best friend, Darryl, and three 8-year-old brats called The Tater Tots.

Josh, though intelligent and nice, is often selfish and self-centered when it comes to Parker ruining his reputation (which is why Josh is sometimes considered an antagonist).

Most of Parker's grossness scares the firls away, much to the huge frustration of Josh, who is so bent on getting girlfriend.

Josh and Parker often fight over things in many episodes (such as "Josh-Off", where they challenged each other to a fight hosted by Doug to see who the real Josh was).

Josh had another friend named Ben, as revealed in the episode, "Parker's Date".

Also, Josh calls himself "The Josh" sometimes.
