Plot Overview
The Movie
A made for TV movie about two football teams playing in the Super Bowl. A crazed serial killer is on the loose and doesn't want the Cougars to win the big game, so he murders the team's trainer. It's up to the team manager to find out who the serial killer is before he goes after players. At the same time, one of the star players is so focused on the game that he ignores his family and jeopardizes his marriage. The team's star quarterback is being aggresively persued by an agent who will be fired from his firm if he can't lure the player away.
The Host Segments
- Opening Segment - Tom Servo manages to convince the mad scientists to allow the entire crew to return to Earth. Crow opens his mouth and ends up ruining the whole thing.
- Segment One - Joel tries to make Tom Servo feel pain again.
- Segment Two - Joel decides to run the ship like a dictator and begins belting out orders. The bots respond with lots of movie quotes.
- Segment Three - A montage of host segments from previous episodes set to the tone of "What A Wonderful World."
- Closing Segment - Tom Servo is in sick bay. Crow and Joel check out some artwork and letters from viewers.
Notes
- This episode is intended to be a parody of the common television practice of having "clip shows" where characters merely flash back to old episodes.
- The final host segment of this episode was not discovered by fans until October 2004.
- Superdome was an ABC Monday Night Movie.
