Plot Overview
A young man arrested for burglary and murder at his father's former place of employment turns out to be Libby's friend, an aspiring actor who's co-starring with her in a production of Hamlet. He claims that he broke into the building to trash the place in revenge for his dad being fired and accidentally killed a security guard who caught him in the act. The father is also brought in on the same charges--he claims that he went after his son to prevent him from doing anything rash, entered the place, pounced on the guard to save his son from being shot, and the gun went off, killing the guard. Flint and Parker have to figure out who's lying to protect whom, and they also have to figure out what happened to $15,000 of industrial diamonds that were stolen from the plant and whether it has any bearing on their case.
