Plot Overview
Joey (Peter Fonda) and Philip (Martin Sheen) are two friends who get mixed-up in a robbery during which Philip gets shot and is wounded. Joey then seeks help from a friend of his, a doctor of the neighborhood that is almost a mother to him, Dr. Anna Chaloupka (Jo Van Fleet), hoping she could take care of Philip without turning them in. But Dr. Chaloupka faces a moral dilemma because if she helps the boys without telling the police, she could be losing her licence.
