Plot Overview
Story starts out with the main character Naruto being chased for vandalism. Naruto gets caught by Iruka and gets sent back to class so that he can perform a transformation jutsu. After class, Naruto cleaned up his mess around town and Iruka kept Naruto motivated by promising to treat him with some ramen afterwards. The following day it was the Genin Final Exam. The students are asked to perform a Replication Jutsu in order to graduate from the academy; with just Naruto's luck, it was his worst jutsu... Naruto fails the exam. Distraught and discouraged, Mizuki manipulates Naruto to steal the sealing scroll. Turmoil and a hunt for Naruto begins. Iruka finds Naruto exhausted from practicing, Mizuki enters and tells Naruto of a village secret pertaining to Naruto and then attacks him. Iruka saves Naruto, and Naruto ran from the battle that was about to ensue. Iruka was about to be finished when Naruto enters the battle and performs a high level replication jutsu that he learned from the scroll to defeat Mizuki. Iruka was amazed that Naruto was able to perform a replication technique that he graduates Naruto from the academy.
Notes
- In the prologue, the Fourth Hokage was riding Gamabunta (King of Frogs) when he fought the Nine-Tailed Fox.
- Naruto dreams of being Hokage so that the villagers would recognize him
- Villagers of Konoha have nothing but disdain for Naruto for they see him as the incarnation of the evil Nine-Tailed Fox (Kyubi)
