Plot Overview
A famous singer hires Owen to defend her against the charge that she plagiarized the only song she ever wrote. As the case goes on, Owen wonders why her ex-husband and former manager is so anxious to get her to settle out of court.
Notes
The song in question, "Smiles From Yesterday", plays at the beginning of the episode and also over the closing credits. It was co-written specially for the episode by series creator Jerry McNeely and series producer Jon Epstein, and sung, of course, by Miss Peggy Lee.
