Plot Overview

After a missile launch at an Air Force base goes awry, a Captain is sent out to investigate and gets into it with a Major on the launch team with whom he has a grudge. A second launch is successful, but after the launch, the Captain's body is found on the launching site. The Major calls his old friend Perry to defend him on a murder charge before a military tribunal, and Perry discovers that the Captain had evidence that the first launch was sabotaged and that the Major was the culprit.
