Plot Overview
A reform school graduate who's trying to straighten out his life is accused of murder. Gunn's hopes of clearing him lie in whether or not he can prove the young man was on the other side of town when the killing occurred, and to do so, he has to find a room with bars that he says he was in. That room happens to be in a convent, where he took sanctuary after being knocked unconscious in a fall while trying to escape two men who were after him. The problem is that the nuns in the convent, who can vouch for the suspect, have taken a sacred vow not to leave the convent for any reason. Pete and Lt. Jacoby come up with a solution to the problem--have the trial at the convent.
