Plot Overview
A woman is accused of killing an old friend, an author whose latest book would reveal damning secrets about her and several other people he knew. After reading an excerpt of the book, Petrocelli discovers that there are other suspects with an equally strong motive, including a football star whom the author accused of being homosexual and a deputy who allegedly fathered an illegitimate child. He also investigates the possibility that someone else he wrote about in a previous book may be the killer.
