Kira Ford, a singer-songwriter, is portrayed by Emma Lahana. The effects of her dino gem gave Kira a sonic scream and the ability to transform into the Yellow Dino Ranger.

Basic Information

On the first day of their Senior year of High School, Principal Randall issued detention to Kira, Ethan and Conner-- all for different reasons, with Kira's being playing music on school grounds. They were put under the watch of Dr. Oliver, whom had someplace else to be. He told the three students that if they found anything from the prehistoric era, detention would be canceled. Kira, Ethan and Conner then went off on their own and stumbled upon the back entrance to Tommy's lab, which is where they found three dino gems. When the yellow dino gem began bonding to Kira's DNA, she discovered her newfound ability to produce a sonic scream.

The next day at school, Kira decides that she wants out, handing her dino gem over to Conner and Ethan. As she begins to walk away, tyrannodrones appear through an invisaportal to take her away. They take her to Mesogog, who wants her dino gem. She is able to escape by using her sonic scream and an invisaportal, landing on the hood of Dr. Oliver's car. Tommy then gave Kira, Ethan and Conner morphers to go with their new dino gems, allowing them to morph into Power Rangers.

• 12x06 - Diva in Distress: Kira's old friend, Kylee Styles returns to Reefside a pop star.
• 12x20 - It's a Mad Mad Mackerel: Kira and Devin get internships at the television station that airs The Funky Fisherman Show.
• 12x23 - A Star is Torn: Kira is offered a recording contract, however, she turns it down because they want her to be someone she's not.
• 13x32 - History: Kira has a hit commercial jingle and Syd reveals that she will become a huge star in the future.
• 15x21 - Once a Ranger (2): Kira said to be working on a new album.

Memorable Moments

• 12x04 - Legacy of Power (1): Kira, Ethan and Conner watch a video diary that Tommy had put together about every Power Ranger team up until that point.
• 12x19 - Lost & Found in Translation: Ethan, Kira and Conner stumble upon a Japanese television show loosely based on their lives as Rangers.

Trivia

• Kira is the second ranger to turn down a recording contract. The first being Tanya Sloan-- who was also a yellow ranger.
• Kira is the first female yellow to be the lone female on a team. Delphine and Tori, who are white and blue respectively, were also the only female on a team.
• When she returned in Once a Ranger, Kira became the only female yellow to have a female blue teammate.
