Allusions and References

  • Jaws: The episode has some parallels to Steven Spielberg's 1975 thriller Jaws, in which early on a tiger shark is caught, but when it is cut open, there are no human remains in its stomach, and the actual man eater later turns out to be a great white shark.
  • 101 Dalmatians: Cruella de Vil is the villain of the 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians and its Disney animated and live-action movie adaptations.
Abby: Connor is dating Cruella de Vil.

  • Nick: When have I ever been wrong? … Except about women, generally.
