Happenings

  • Ziggy comes up with a plan to retrieve Sam. However, it only leaps Sam from one person to another at the same place, at the same moment. This is the only time such a leap happens and we see that the person Sam leapt into has no recollection of their absence.

Characters

  • Al mentions being in an orphanage as a kid.
  • Al is shown to be fluent in Italian.

Trivia

The Show

  • Sam sings for the first time in this episode, covering "Volare" even though he doesn't quite know the words. Future songs are played with less humor, and allow Scott Bakula's real singing voice to shine.

Behind the Scenes

  • This was actually the second episode filmed, but show creator Donald Bellisario requested that it be pushed back in the rotation, since he thought that the double leap might confuse new viewers.

Allusions and References

Kiss with History

  • Sam inadvertently causes the Northeast Blackout of 1965.
