Arc Advancement

Happenings

  • Sam hypnotises Alia into believing she's the person she leaped into in order to prevent her project's supercomputer from zeroing in on her as it would alter her brainwaves. This works and Zoey is leaped in with an observer of her own. She finds Sam when she touches him and they both see each other's real self. This leads Zoey to shoot Alia, causing her to leap out and the person she leaped into returns. Sam then shoots Zoey, causing her to leap out (taking her observer with her) and the other to return. Al tells Sam that they don't know where Alia is, but assured him that she's free.

Characters

Referbacks

  • When Sam suggests hypnosis on Alia, Al is reminded of the events of "Shock Theater" when Sam got lost in past personas, causing Project Quantum Leap to struggle to maintain contact with him.

Trivia

The Show

  • This is furthest into the present Sam leaps.

Behind the Scenes

  • Originally aired with "Return of the Evil Leaper" as a double-length episode. This is why it replays much of that episode's tag into the first act.
  • Thames has a different handlink than the one Zoey had, even though it specified to the same in the script.

Memorable Moments

Goofs

  • Al refers to Ziggy as a "he".
  • Just before the shot ends of Sam and Alia moving along the stream, a crew member's hand with something in briefly comes into view in the left hand corner of the screen.
