Plot Overview
Sam is a soldier returning home from overseas with his Japanese wife, much to everyone's surprise. He has to overcome many prejudicial obstacles to ensure that the two stay married.

- It's later revealed that Sam was born August 8, 1953, which would be outside his lifetime. However, Donald Bellisario later stated that his lifetime would include the time of his conception, therefore keeping this within the established parameters.
