Plot Overview
Bernardo, a man from Vera's past kidnaps her for ransom but Don Gasper Hidalgo has no money having borrowed money to pay back taxes to prevent Colonel Montoya posseessing his hacienda. Montoya lends the money, Grisham delivers, but Bernardo wants Vera as well as the Gold and only The Queens intervention thwarts his plans.
Bernardo secretly returns to town and Tessa effects his capture, but once in jail Vera's shocking past may come to Don Hidalgo's attention unless The Queen disposes of Bernardo.
