Red Dwarf/Remastered
From The TV IV
Around 1998, BBC Worldwide felt that re-working the special effects would make Red Dwarf more maketable throughout the rest of the world. So ...
- the show got a digital soundtrack.
- some music was re-done to give it a more modern feel.
- the opening music was replaced with a souped-up rock & roll opening.
- many/most special effects were re-done with computer-generated graphics.
- Red Dwarf (the ship) went from being a bloated, gritty, looking ship with ore sticking out past the hull in places to being a sleek, red skyscraper with engines.
- Blue Midget looked a bit like a blue school bus before. Now it has legs on which it can walk.
