Roger Ramjet was an animated comedy that aired in syndication starting in 1965.

"Daredevil, flying fool and all-around good guy," Roger Ramjet was a scientist who developed a proton pill that when taken gave him the strength of 20 atom bombs for 20 seconds. This led him to become a hero (as it were) assisted by the American Eagles, a team of four kids--Yank, Doodle, Dan and Dee. Their regular foe was criminal organization N.A.S.T.Y, headed by Noodles Romanoff.

The series was broadly played and relied on visual and verbal wordplay--puns and non-sequiturs flew thick and fast (as Ramjet beats up N.A.S.T.Y., we just see the screen shaking with sound effect words like "Oof," "Bam," "Ouch," and in one instance, "Indigestion").

The Family Channel (today ABC Family) replayed the cartoons in the fall of 1989.
