Chill Out, Scooby-Doo is the eleventh made-for-video animated feature with Scooby-Doo and the gang. It was released September 4, 2007, five days after it premiered on Cartoon Network. The film was dedicated to Iwao Takamoto, the Hanna-Barbera artist who originated the designs of Scooby and the kids, and to Joseph Barbera, co-chief of the Hanna-Barbera studio. Takamoto died that January and Barbera died in December 2006.
Professor Jeffries is in the Himalayas looking for the Abominable Snowman when he mysteriously disappears. Meanwhile, Fred, Velma and Daphne are on a Paris vacation waiting for Shaggy and Scooby-Doo. Our two hungry heroes are on a plane but it's not en route to Paris--it takes Shaggy and Scooby over the snow-swept wastes of the Himalayas with French hunter Alphonse LaFleur, who is after the Snowman. LaFleur uses our heroes as bait.
