Plot Overview
By Dawn's Early Fight
It's the first morning in the Nohara family's new apartment, and already everyone is late. Shin takes the day off from school due to lack of transportation, so he helps out, or at least attempts to, around the house.
Bug Thy Neighbors
Mitzi decides to take Shin to meet the neighbors. The first one they meet up with is Yonrou, a man who cannot get into college, and who Shin says has an apartment that "smells like breakfast farts." Next they mistakenly meet the landlady (Shin calls her the manlady), who only comes up to see Mitzi after Shin knocked down her tower of dentures by making loud noises upstairs.
Spin Georgie
Shin invites his friends over to see the new apartment, but most of that time is spent bugging Yonrou and Nushiyo the landlady. Georgie does his best to try and talk Shin's way out of these situations.
Notes
- Premiered first on Adult Swim Fix on April 20, 2007.

Happenings
Characters
- Yonrou and Nushiyo Ooya first appear in this episode. Nushiyo is not identified by name so it is unknown whether or not it has been changed for English.
Referbacks
- One-Eyed Monster - Mitzi tells Shin to walk stealthily like the ninja in the Gigantic One-Eyed Monster game, which appeared in the episode Gum is a Good Food to Eat.
- Trust dance - Shin asks his dad Hiro if he wants to do the trust dance done in the second episode of the show. Shin even adds "You get to say penis."
Trivia
The Show
- This is the first episode directed by Laura Bailey, who also plays the main character, Shin-chan.
Behind the Scenes
- Originally, the ending narration about Shin becoming "a manboy" was supposed to be read by Shin's future adult-self, as a spoof of The Wonder Years. TV Asahi did not approve the joke, with their reason being they never want Shin to ever become an adult.
Allusions and References
- Jimmy Carter - A former U.S. president. Georgie fears he might be living in one of the apartments.
- Dee Dee Myers - The former U.S. White House Press Secretary who served under president Clinton. Georgie compared himself to her, saying he too was trying to stand up for a lying sexist pig.
- Richard Nixon - The former U.S. president who was impeached, and resigned from office. Georgie claims that if Nixon had him for a spin-doctor, he'd still be president.
- House, M.D. - At one point in the episode, Penny says she "wants to play House," but she actually means the TV show, House. Maso wants to be Dr. House, but Penny thinks he's not good looking enough.
