Plot Overview
Schemer wants to join the Nickelaire club run by Mr. Hobart Hume III, owner of the Snaryville Toxic chemical company. Schemer pretends to act like a member of the club, to get Stacy, Billy, and the kids in as well. However, Hume refuses to do so as the kids are to young, Stacy is a woman, and Billy is an Indian. Schemer thinks that, as the club president, Hume could change the rules, but Hume keeps interrupting Schemer. When Hume tells Schemer that he has to cut off his curl in order to be a member, Schemer no longer wants to be a part of the club. Schemer refuses to cut off the thing that makes him who he is and shows disgust at Hume's attitude and prejudice. Hume then explains that the club members are the dessert while the rest of the world is just leftovers. Schemer then says that joining the Nickelaire club is not worth it if his friends are not allowed to join just because they are different. He then kicks Hume out of the station. Stacy, Billy, and the kids, who had been watching, congratulate Schemer for what he did. Later, Mr. Conductor cleans up the mess Hume made because he thought Schemer deserved a little help after standing up to Mr. Hume.
