Battles is the fourth episode of the first season of Spaced. When Daisy is dumped by her long-distance boyfriend, she decides that the only way to fill the hole in her life is to get a dog—something that Tim is terrified of. Meanwhile, Tim goes paintballing with Mike and discovers that his archenemy Duane is on the other team.

- Tomb Raider: The game that Tim is playing in his flat when Brian comes up wearing the painting is Tomb Raider III, the third installment in the Tomb Raider series. Tomb Raider stars Lara Croft, a British archaeologist and treasure hunter who seeks to uncover priceless artifacts before the forces of evil can take them. Tomb Raider III was released on Playstation in November 1998.
