Plot Overview

Several Jedi encounter General Grievous on Hypori.

Arc Advancement

Happenings

  • The Banking Clan is taken into custody, and Obi-Wan declares victory on Muunilinst. Anakin returns in Asajj Ventress' ship, and gets scolded by Obi-Wan.
  • Obi-Wan receives a call from Master Barrek requesting immediate evacuation from planet Hypori. Barrek is killed halfway through the message.
  • On Hypori, an enormous droid army led by General Grevious surrounds a downed ship where several Jedi have taken refuge. They hear Grievous approaching alone and wait; Sha'a Gi panics and runs out, and is crushed by Grievous. They all assume defensive stances and wait, but General Grevious is already inside the ship, and he attacks. Though the Jedi attack together, they are outmatched. Two Jedi are outright killed, and three injured and out of the fight, leaving Ki Adi Mundi alone against the droid general.

Characters

  • This is the first appearance of General Grievous in any media.
  • General Grievous kills Jedi Master Daakman Barrek, padawan Sha'a Gi, and Tarr Seirr. He gravely injures K'Kruhk, Aayla Secura and Shaak Ti.

Behind the Scenes

  • Cartoon Network held a special online poll to decide which of three new Jedi would appear in this episode. The winner was Voolvif Monn, a Shistavanen Wolfman who appears fighting alongside clone troopers on Muunilinst.
  • Though at this point K'Kruhk is believed by the other Jedi to be dead, he later reappears in the Clone Wars comic books.

  • General Grievous crushes Sha'a Gi by simply landing on top of him, sending his lightsaber flying but leaving no trace of the padawan.
