Plot Overview
A bank robber with a bad heart wrecks his car, but is rescued from death with the help of a doctor and his use of a rock called Kryptonite. This turns out to be fortuitous when he learns what affect it has on Superboy.
Notes

Happenings
- Professor Peterson's research has found that the rock has a similar molecular structure of a planet named by astronomers as Krypton. As such Peterson has dubbed the green rock Kryptonite.
- Peterson has also learned that while prolonged exposure can be lethal to Superboy, led shielding seems to neutralise the effect.
- A bank robber named Corben is helped after surviving a car accident by a strange doctor named Schwartz who fuels the mechanical prosthetic parts by use of a rock giving off an energy, oblivious that it's Kryptonite. Taking the name Metallo, he learns that the rock hurts Superboy, taking full advantage of it to carry out a crime wave. Superboy sets up a trap where he protects himself with a led suit, managing to pull the Kryptonite out and sealing it in "glove" of the suit, leaving Metallo to be taken to jail.

Referbacks
- Schwartz recounts that he found the Kryptonite in the sewer, which is where we last saw it in "Kryptonite Kills".
Trivia
The Show
- A careful look at the notes Clark goes through reveals that Professor Peterson's first name is Jon, the only time the name is given in the series.
