Supermarket Sweep (1965) was a game show airing on ABC. It was the first version of the show.

The series took place in Food Fair supermarkets along the north East Coast, mainly New York City. Three couples participated in pricing grocery items. The couple whose estimate was closest to the item's actual value received 15 seconds of time added to their spotted time of 1 minute and 30 seconds. Four items were used. In the second part of the game, the husbands raced around the store with shopping carts trying to accumulate as much groceries as they could in their scored time frames. Some items were bonus items worth anywhere from, $10 to $100. All couples kept all the items they accumulated. The couple with the most value in groceries was champions and returned to play on the next show.

Supermarket Sweep was revamped as The Honeymoon Game after its final show. It then returned in a modified version in 1990 on the cable channel Lifetime then revived on Pax later. Fremantle is producing a new prime time edition for ABC with Leslie Jones as hostess. It will debut sometime in 2020.
