Plot Overview
Jo visits the Burnett family in Manchester, Vermont where Michael and Joanne need help with their 5 kids: 8-year-old Zachary (who is Michael's son from a previous marriage) and two sets of twins: 3-year-old sons Joseph & John and 16-month-old fraternal twins Molly & Michael.
While Joanne works during the day as a school teacher, Michael juggles working from home and taking care of his four toddlers. During observation, Jo notices there's no structure during the day for the kids. When Joanne comes home from work, her young children demand her attention and she spends the evening doing chores which Michael deems "woman's work."
