Plot Overview
Jo heads to Marietta, Georgia where Deidre & Trae Facente need help with their three children: 4-year-old twin daughters Kayla & Marlana and their 3-year-old son, Tristan who was diagnosed with autism.
Tristan is non-verbal and is caught up in his own world where he enjoys spinning around, jumping and swinging on the swing. The twins demand their parents' attention and tend to follow Deidre around the house all day which causes Deidre to shoo them away.
The Facentes are at a loss about what to do to help their son, so Jo brings in Dr. Lynn Koegel to help them teach how to include Tristan into the family activities & how to communicate.
