Season Pages

Seeking Feedback. I've added a bunch of Season pages. These pages were auto-generated by some scripts I'm working on. Let me know if they're totally out of wack with normality. --Coolbutuseless 03:55, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Nice Work, there were some problems with some numbers incorrectly following the titles of a few episodes in Season Three and Five, which I manually fixed. --rveguilla 22:10, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

rveguilla, this may lead to some problems if I decide to bulk upload the rest of the episode pages (since they will be titled in the original manner, not your fixed way). This is just a heads up, that when/if I do upload them, some episode pages will need to be moved. --Coolbutuseless 23:54, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Does anyone have an opinion either way about me uploading blank episode pages for the rest of Babylon5 (similar to Babylon 5/Midnight on the Firing Line)? --Coolbutuseless 23:54, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Go ahead, no problem with me. --rveguilla 00:09, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Please check Talk:Babylon 5/Season One for some ideas about the season title and opening narration.

Episode Pages

  1. I've added the first couple of episode pages for season 1 as well. Episode 1x01 and 1x02. Have a look and make a suggestion on how the format could be improved. --Coolbutuseless 04:45, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  2. I've added episode pages for all 5 seasons. --(Coolbutuseless) via Autobot 06:05, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  3. Great, I'll begin adding extra info soon.--rveguilla 14:56, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  4. Coolbutuseless, are you planning to autogenerate more Babylon 5 related pages? I started making some changes I wanted to be sure I won't break any you might be planning. --rveguilla 15:11, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  5. I started adding episode descriptions to a few of the first episodes from season one. Should this type of description go to the Plot Overview or as a summary before the Plot Overview? --rveguilla 18:22, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  6. Look at other shows, eg. Battlestar_Galactica_(2003)/Flight_of_the_Phoenix. They have Plot Summary as a section heading instead of Plot Overview. Then they have 1-2 sentence descriptions like yours under the heading, and after that a more detailed one, divided in the different storylines. Maybe we could do the same as the BSG people, it seems a good way to me... What do you think? --GKiller 20:45, 25 Sep 2005 (EDT)
  7. Ok with me, I'll start changing it to that format. --rveguilla 21:10, 25 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Links to Lurker's Guide

I have a suggestion: Should we place a link on each episode page to the Lurker's Guide corresponding episode page? The Lurker's Guide has excellent episode pages with analysis of the plot/story and all the comments that JMS posted on newsgroups concerning the particular episode. The other possibility would be of course integrate the content of the guide in to our episode pages, but I'm not sure if the author would agree, and as I understand the TVIV policy is not to copy content from other sources. --GKiller 17:01, 20 Oct 2005 (EDT)

I think its a good idea. For the record, I sent an email to the Lurker's Guide author a few weeks ago asking his permission to reuse the guide's content and inviting him to collaborate on this page, but I'm still wating for a reply.--rveguilla 13:32, 21 Oct 2005 (EDT)
