Korean War
Sam seems to have a ribbon for service in the Korean War and I didn't think he was that old, but it looks like the appropriate ribbon. Prop error or not?
Sixth Army
On Sam Austen's right shoulder, his shoulder sleeve insignia is that of the U.S. Sixth Army, which was inactivated way back in, I believe, 1946. Prop error or not?
Ranger Battalion
In 1x11 - All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues, Kate said her father was stationed in Fort Lewis, Washington State. The 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment is stationed there, but elements of the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment were the ones deployed to the Gulf in 1991 and that's where we see Sam in 2x14 - One of Them. An error on part of the writers or was Sam in both?
Current Status in Military
In 1x11 - All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues, Kate told Jack that her father was in the Army. Something may have happened between 2004 and whenever she saw him at the recruitment center and Sam is no longer in the Army.
