Talk:Psych/Season One
From The TV IV
Episode Count
The USA online schedule marks Shawn vs. the Red Phantom as the season finale, which obviously conflicts with the currently given episode count of 13. Anybody know more yet? —Naddy 17:22, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
- I think it's more like a midseason finale and they're doing the season in two parts. That's what they've done with Monk the last couple of years. Although I'm curious why you listed the pilot in two parts only one episode aired last Friday and no other site is listing it that way.The-jam 17:43, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
- The pilot was an hour and a half. i don't see why people list even two hour pilots / season finales as seperate episodes though. this was clearly one. --MateoP 18:12, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
- It was DCEbot who listed the pilot as two parts, and I didn't change it. Presumably it will be split up on re-airing or in syndication. This is a general problem I don't know how to deal with. Blade: The Series is another current show that is affected by this. Historical shows where the pilot is listed as two episodes include Star Trek: The Next Generation and Dark Angel. —Naddy 19:04, 14 July 2006 (EDT)
- Well in the case of this show USA's website lists the two hour 4400 season premiere as The New World, Parts I & II with only the production number #E20 but then the next episode is listed as #E22 signifying the premiere had two numbers. It only lists Psych's 90-minute premiere as Pilot with the production number #1_1001 and the second episode's number is #1_1002. This makes sense as it's hard to split a 90 minute episode in two for reairings.The-jam 13:11, 15 July 2006 (EDT)
