Seasons or Series?

Okey, just had Coolbutuseless run his autogen across the ep pages (saves editing manually)... but we've got one problem. The bot created Season X pages, and we've been using Series X... so which set stays and which set goes? I'd say for uniformity that we remove the series pages and stick with seasons like the rest of the site. --NikDoof 13:31, 16 Sep 2005 (EDT)

Just saw this comment, after I'd edited the series pages and created the category page. haha :-) oh well... I saw leave which ever one is most up to date, then move to Season_X if needed. Some Series pages have content on them ... so yeah :-) -- Praetorian 14:21, 16 Sep 2005 (EDT)
Actually, just move all Series pages to Season_X (if possible, over the top), else put {{delete}} on the current Season_X pages, and then move/change links when pages are gone.
Well its a tad bit of a divide really, as they're known as Series on the DVD releases and all BBC documentation about it. Do we trust ol' Auntie, or change it to Seasons :/ --Nik_Doof 14:29, 16 Sep 2005 (EDT)
I think the names should be standardised across the site. DVD names should be a difference case, as they are actual names that are stuck to the product. I have created a proposal to discuss this on a site level, as this may effect more then this show in future.
No programmes in the UK use the word "Season" really, its all "Series". But i think it should really be standardised across the site. If you really wanted to be like what Red Dwarf use, they could be renamed to "Red Dwarf I", "Red Dwarf II" etc... --Jeffthejiff 08:46, 30 Nov 2005 (EST)
I think it makes eminent sense to standardise BUT I would argue for a Glossary entry noting differences between US and UK terminology and perhaps notes on differing practices (such as much shorter seasons...er....series, in the UK). Vaguedisclaimer 19:11, 30 Nov 2005 (EST)

This is a nice start, but there's a lot of information to add. Look around, and check out the Help page for our general formatting.
