Season Four of Teen Titans technically premiered on January 17, 2005, but a special online only episode was available through a cereal promotion on January 11, 2005.

The season is adapted from the first New Teen Titans storyline. In the original story, Raven gathers the Teen Titans together again in order to fight her father, the demon Trigon. However, due to the graphic nature of Raven's comic book origin, many details were changed in the adaptation to preserve the kid friendly vibe of the show. The season ended with a three-part episode in which the Titans fight Trigon to save the fate of the universe.
