Plot Overview

Billy Joe comforts Nita at the hospital. Ginny tells Lurlene that Reena says Max is handling the well issue fine now. Jeb arrives at Max and Reena's and Max tells him that he needs his help breaking into the mud shack. Rikki arrives and Nita and Billy Joe tell him there is no word yet on Billy Joe Jr.'s condition. Ginny and Lurlene talk about the barn dance. Reena begs Max to talk to Ryan or Striker but he says no one can help him now but himself. Maggie arrives and Rikki comforts her. Billy Joe tells Nita of a time when he had a temperature of 105 just to try to make Nita feel better. Lurlene tells Ginny that she is scared being on the farm now and then Jeb comes out and he tells Lurlene that he is not an undercover agent but does believe that Bubba is a crook and Lurlene offers to help him prove it one way or another. Reena tells Ginny that Max and Jeb are breaking into the mud shack. Lurlene, Jeb and Max arrive at the shack. Ruby arrives and talks to Rikki and then Billy Joe and Nita come back and tell them there is no change after they finally got to see Billy Joe Jr. Billy Joe goes to the chapel to ask for help from the Lord. Lurlene takes care of the guard dog as Jeb and Max break in. Billy Joe tells Nita everything will be fine and then Dr. Thompson tells them the fever has broke. Ginny tells Reena that Iris tried to have Ryan arrested. Max finds what he needs but then Bubba arrives with a shotgun. Billy Joe and Nita see Billy Joe Jr. and then Billy Joe tells her that they just have to have a little faith and everything will be OK. Ruby talks to Rikki about a career in music full time and how tragedies like this one with Billy Joe Jr. bring people together. Bubba has Max empty his pockets of the documented proof and then tells him if he says anything he will have an unfortunate accident. Max tells Reena and Ginny what happened and learns he must wait till Ryan gets back in town at 7:00 in the morning.
