Plot Overview

Ryan questions Justin about an article in the morning paper. Grant questions Iris about the article. Nita tells Maggie she going to see a lawyer about a divorce. Maggie asks Nita if she is sure this is what she wants. Iris admits to Grant that she called the finance editor. She then calls Dennis who kicks the phone off the hook with his foot. Ryan tells Justin he is going to fight dirty too now including telling people of his slant drilling. Justin tells Bubba of Ryan threatening to talk about the slant drilling but Bubba says there is no way to prove it. Then Justin tells him he better make sure Mr. Johnson can't be found and that he stays away from Lurlene. Bubba denies seeing Lurlene. Grant tells Ryan he can't mention the slant drilling because it would hurt the company. Iris finds a drunk Dennis living in a messy apartment. Dennis agrees to go see a psychiatrist but Iris thinks he just needs some rest and to get away for awhile. Justin gets angry at Bubba and demands he leave Lurlene alone then Ashley tries to calm Justin. Grant tells Ryan he thinks Mr. Johnson is still in Houston. Mr. Johnson reads the Houston Press newspaper. Vivien talks to Grant about Iris and Dennis and how Dennis has become moody from everything he has gone through. Justin tells Ashley he invited Kate to the wedding but she isn't going to come. Mr. Johnson sees the article in the paper about Ryan and calls the Wheelers looking for Iris but Vivien tells him that she isn't home. Ryan speaks to a former co-worker of Mr. Johnson's but doesn't get any information. Elena speaks to Bobbie Sue about making sure no one knows she is living above the beauty parlor. Iris tells Elliot he and Paige are the reason Dennis is in such a state but Elliot tells her the real person responsible is her. Mr. Johnson arrives at the Wheeler's and Grant meets him but he says he will only talk to Mrs. Wheeler. Elena asks Maggie if she can borrow $10,000 for new furniture. Then Nita arrives and tells them that she has seen a lawyer. Iris tells Elliot that Dennis will see a doctor but believes he is really the one in need of help. As Grant and Mr. Johnson wait for Mrs. Wheeler, Justin arrives.
