Plot Overview

Ruby shows Billy Joe her black outfit and tells him she is going to the ranch to pay Lurlene her respects. Ginny, Kate, Lurlene, Grant and Rikki arrive home from the cemetery. Kate tells Lurlene she will take care of her. With a knife on Ashley, Bubba gets the slant drilling papers and then tries to undo Ashley's blouse. Grant tells Rikki, Ginny and Kate that Reena and Brette should have news soon about who Apex Realty bought the land for. Beau tells Billy Joe about the letter he has on Ruby. Bubba tries to attack Ashley and Justin enters. Justin knocks Bubba out. Vicky talks to Meredith about T.J. working for Marshall Oil. Beau reads Billy Joe the letter that Ruby wrote that cost Striker his chance to be in the state government. Reena and Brette tell Kate and Rikki that Justin bought the Harper place. Billy Joe walks out and Elena comes in asking Beau what is going on. Ruby comforts Lurlene and then meets Kate. Reena, Rikki and Brette try to find out what Justin wants with the property and then Rikki asks Brette why she doesn't like him. Kate looks on as Ruby says good-bye to Lurlene. The police take Bubba away and Ashley hides the slant drilling papers under her desk mat as Justin tries to figure out what Bubba wanted. Brette tells "Dekker" that she doesn't have anything against him. Grant tells Reena there is nothing they can do about Justin having bought the Harper place. Ruby tells Elena she would like them to make up and manage her career and Elena tells Ruby it is only a matter of time before she finds out what Beau has on her. Kate tells Lurlene to watch out for Ruby. Ruby explains to Billy Joe that she wrote the letter because back then Vicky wouldn't give her clients the time of day. Reena tells Vicky that Justin bought the Harper place and she is going to find out what he is up to. Ruby tells Beau to get out of her sight but he doesn't advise she get a divorce from him.
