The $100,000 Name That Tune is a revival of the Name That Tune that first appeared in 1953 then was itself revived in 1974. It was renamed as $100,000 in 1976.
In this version, two contestants competed in separate games to identify songs performed by an on-stage band.
The winner at the end of the show played the Golden Medley. Here, the player hit a buzzer to stop the clock and the band in order to name the tune. The winners of the Golden Medley would return after a month to compete with the winner trying to identify one more tune for $100,000.
