The Amateur's Guide to Love is a game show that aired on CBS.
A celebrity panel viewed videotaped situations involving celebrities and regular people, each dealing with love, marriage and sex. The participants in the video were faced with making a choice in the situation and the on-stage panel voted on which choice would be made. A studio audience member won prizes for selecting the correct celebrity.
Having been first piloted in November, 1971, this was CBS's first game show in four years. Three months following The Amateur's Guide to Love's cancellation, CBS would bring game shows back in earnest with The Joker's Wild, Gambit, and a revival of The Price Is Right.
