Plot Overview
One-time rising corporate executive Henry Rockford, now a beaten-down wino, is accused of killing another skid-row denizen. Walt knows Rockford all too well--the man was arrested years before for the murder of his mistress, acquitted, then his wife was arrested, then he confessed to the murder but wound up being convicted of perjury, losing everything in the process. Now Walt has another shot at defending him, requesting only one thing as payment for his services...the truth about the earlier murder. He speaks to both Rockford and his now-remarried wife, who convey drastically different scenarios about what happened the night the mistress was killed.
