Plot Overview

An unusual case for Tony begins when a man on Death Row in Albany State Prison confesses to a series of serial killings for which another man was executed in Pennsylvania. Tony has an interest in the case, as he helped put away the suspect in the Pennsylvania killings. The condemned man in New York wants Tony's help...he insists he's innocent of the murder that he was convicted for and will tell Tony where the bodies are buried if he helps to clear him. Tony eventually discovers that the man is lying about being the real killer in the serial case, but he also believes his claim of innocence in the single murder. He and Paulie travel to nearby Cedar Lake, where the murder was committed, and are led to an Indian casino ran by the victim, the town's most popular resident. They discover a hotbed of theft and police corruption, and Paulie even finds romance. Back in Eastbridge, Tony deals with a stuffy psychiatrist hired by City Council to view police operations, and after Rachel catches David and his new girlfriend in 'the act', asks Tony to give their son 'the talk'.
