Plot Overview

Kidney stones land Tony in the hospital, taking him off two important cases: finding the carjackers who stole the new car he bought Rachel as a present and finding an escaped mental patient who's a 'professional impersonator', who may be planning to pose as a cop to get into a gun battle. What he doesn't know is that the doctor who's about to do the surgery is the escapee he's looking for. In Tony's absence, Cyd becomes Acting Commissioner, but she becomes upset when Tony gives Carmela and Stan orders on how to catch the car thieves behind her back. While in the hospital, Tony bonds with a terminally ill young boy who dreams of being a cop and gives him a taste of the job, complete with a special uniform and participation in a 'bust'.
