Trivia

The Show

  • Opening Phone Call: "Jay, this is your pharmacist. Instead of hair restorer, we accidentally sent you Preparation H." Jay's head then shrinks.
  • Opening Movie Parody: A parody of the scene where Julie Andrews sings in a field in The Sound of Music, the camera gets too close and accidentally hits her in the face, sending her careening off the side of a mountain.
  • Closing Theatre Shot: "But I have nowhere to go."

Behind the Scenes

  • Recast: Brenda Vaccaro voiced Jay's ex-wife Ardeth in the first season, but when she demanded a raise that they couldn't afford due to budget cuts, she was recast with Rhea Perlman, who only makes one appearance in the season.
