Erskine pursues a charming duo of con artists whose latest scam may have hit a couple of snags...the woman, who's the brains of the operation, seems to be falling for their mark, a rich history buff that they're trying to con using forged historical documents, while the man, the none-too-bright muscle of the operation, is visited by his estranged wife, who's out to work her way into the scheme.
