The Flintstone Kids was an animated comedy. The show was comprised of four different segments, all featuring characters related to The Flintstone franchise:
- The Flinstone Kids, the primary segment which featured young versions of the main characters from The Flintstones
- Flinstone Funnies, featured the characters from The Flintstone Kids living out fantasies, did not appear in the second season
- Dino's Dilemmas, focused on the Flintstones' pet dinosaur Dino
- Captain Caveman and Son, a show-within-the-show which the Flintstone kids watched, featured the heroic adventures of Captain Caveman and his son, Captain Caveman Jr.
For the first season, each episode ran for one-hour and featured a half-hour segment of The Flintstone Kids followed by one segment each of Flintstone Funnies, Dino's Dilemmas and Captain Caveman and Son. The second season ran for a half-hour and either featured one segment each of The Flintstone Kids, Dino's Dilemmas and Captain Caveman and Son or two segments of The Flintstone Kids.
