Plot Overview

A private detective is killed 'accidentally' after he pays Britt Reid a visit, trying to sell him information that a racketeer thought to be dead is alive. Britt has a special reason for seeing that the 'deceased' mobster gets punished--it was he who framed Britt's father for a crime he didn't commit.
